She looks either very sad or emotionless... One or the other (Full of negative emotion of devoid of emotion.. you'd think they would be on opposite ends of the scale no?) One question: Are those eyeballs in the background? I don't quite get what you mean by the black isn't nearly black enough, but I'll take your word on that... if you can get black any blacker then it already it, by all means I guess...

This is what I think (about this specific colored version) : It's good the guy doesn't have a face, I feel that this is about the girl and so it doesn't matter who she gets a hug from- she just needs one. The point is he isn't very important- why should he get a face?
I'm not sure I understand the things on the ears, like what they are I mean. Maybe rocks... (probably not) I wish I had rocks instead of ears. Not forever though.

Anyway

And I kinda liked the background, maybe because I really love the place where they are standing and it kinda flies around and adds to the background. I really like your style. I think the shoes aren't as bad as you seem to think they are, and I love the girl's socks. I love all the little details in this as well. Like the seam on the guy's pants, and the fringes on her dress. Maybe those were the only ones but whatever.

Sorry I'm writing so much- I felt like writing and I havent really had anything to write about anybody's work for awhile. This kinda got me going. Yea lastly, I like the fire-red hair, or orange... it adds a bunch of life to the while thing.

ARRRGH my stupid computer said it couldn't connect to the server. didn't connect!?!! is that why there are three comments from ME on my pic? why does no one else do terribly stupid things like this? And it would help if I know how to edit comments >:{O Alas, I do not and I'll keep my eye out for another stupid mistake like that, which is about all I can do for the time being.

It looks so magical now... like this is the apex, something they've been striving to reach.. and when they embrace, nature itself condones it with the whirl of mist at thier feet and the falling of petals (or whatever those streams happen to be) Or it could just be a guy hugging a girl who's blushing...

I just wrote a big long thing of nothing and deleted it, and I'm on track of doing that again. I know I already kinda commented on this twice already but the last time it didn't finish loading and I never saw the whole thing. So finally it is showing me everything.

Umm.. and I don't really have anything new to say but I've been obsessing over this pic for awhile and I already decided I was going to comment. So yea, I think both versions look great, but I like the one in your scraps the best. I really like your style of art, I dunno if I've mentioned that already but whatever.
It's got this very clean look to it.
